If you are a member of the Alberta Sign Association you will have access to the member rates. Be sure to provide your Group Name, Description and ASA Member email address. Once payment has been received they will gain access to the Electrical Certification Course.

Alberta Sign Association members pay $525.00 and all non-members pay $1050.00. Follow the registration instructions to enroll your employees online. If you are interested in becoming an Alberta Sign Association member please email info@albertasigns.com.
How do I get my results?
The student will be asked to complete a quiz after each unit and they must achieve 100% on the quiz before the next unit will be accessible. The company can contact the website administrator in order to gain detailed insights on student progress.
Does this course give me provincial accreditation?
The Alberta Sign Association has an Authorization from the Province of Alberta. By successfully passing the Electrical Certification Course and receiving a card, a worker is allowed to work on the electrical components of a sign that would normally be serviced by an electrician. Note though that there are limitations; the certification does not allow workers to terminate a new sign installation nor does it allow a worker to perform work that an electrician do such as replacing parking lot lights.
Where do I take the final exam?
When a sufficient amount of students have successfully completed the online course, a date and place will be chosen for the students to learn some practicum, go over any questions they might have, and to write their final exam. The ASA is automatically informed when a student has completed the online course and the student will be contacted with a date for the next final exam.
Do I get a certificate?
You did it! You completed the online course and passed the final exam. The Alberta Sign Association will now mail out wallet cards for the students. The Alberta Sign Association keeps a record of all students that successfully pass the Electrical Certification Course.
How much time do I have to complete the course?
The original course is 21 hours however the online course will be open for 60-90 days from the date of registration. This gives the student two months to three months in order to complete the course.
What if I run out of time?
The creation of the online version of the Electrical Certification Course was to make the course more convenient for the workers. However it is important that the course be completed in a reasonable amount of time. In special circumstances the course can be extended by 60 days.
What if I register a worker and he is no longer working for me?
If a company has registered a worker and for whatever reason they do not want to sponsor that worker, the company can have the name of the registered student changed to a new name. This is helpful when a worker no longer works for that company. There is a $100 administration charge for this service.
